Directions
Note: This page has
written directions. If you would like a visual, please go to the Maps
page.
FROM THE AIRPORT:
Upon leaving the terminal or the rental car area, look for signs marked
"Airport Exit" and "To I-70 & I-225 via Peña
Blvd." It is not necessary to take the E-470 Tollway to or from I-70,
since it doesn't save time and costs extra.) Stay on Peña Blvd
until it merges with I-70 westbound.
Stay in the left or center lanes to avoid exiting onto I-225 and other
cross streets, and continue westbound on I-70 for about 4 miles. Watch
for the I-270 exit on the right, labeled "Westminster/Ft. Collins,"
that comes at about 14 miles from DIA. It is also labeled Exit 279, "US-36
Boulder."
Take I-270 past Quebec, Vasquez, and York Streets, and past I-76 at 18
miles from DIA. Stay in the left lanes, until you pass under a "US-36
West/Boulder" sign at about 20 miles from DIA. (Do not exit to the
right, towards Ft. Collins or Broadway.)
Stay on US-36 into Boulder. If you have time (~10 minutes extra) for a
cool variation with some fantastic scenery see "Variation below".
Take the Foothills Parkway/Table Mesa/South Boulder Rd exit and head West.
Continue on Table Mesa Drive until you get to Broadway (93). Turn South
(Left) onto Broadway. Go South on Broadway (93) for 2 or 3 miles. You
will be driving past fields of cows. After leaving Boulder, there is one
last stoplight and gas station (with a surprisingly large selection of
Organic Foods). Turn West (right) at this gas station onto Eldorado Springs
Drive. [This road is called Marshall Rd. on the east side of the highway]
[If you start heading uphill you have missed the turn]. Take your first
right (after about 1 mile) onto Senda Rocosa Dr. The Oerter/Ramer residence
is the last road on the street.
Parking:
The house is at the very end of the street. For those of you that have
difficulty walking, there will be a few spots marked out at the end of
the road. With 180 people expected, parking will take up the entire road,
so please carpool if possible. In addition, we will need to leave room
around peoples driveways. We will stake out each driveway, so just park
between the stakes.

VARIATION!:
This variation allows you to enter Boulder from the south. It offers some
of the most beautiful grass convered rolling hills and the best view of
Boulder and it's open space and mountains. I highly recommend it and it
will only take about 10 minutes extra, unless you decide to stop and take
a look at the views. As you are heading toward Boulder on US-36, take
the Broomfield exit. At the end of the off ramp, make a left. You'll pass
the ramp traffic light on the other side of the highway and then make
your next right onto Route. 128. Take this until it ends at Route 93.
By this point you will have passed by Rocky Flats (former nuclear weapons
site currently being decomissioned. Steve worked there in the summer of
1994) to the south, the beautiful rolling hills, and the National Renewable
Energy Lab Wind Technology Site also to the south (look for the wind turbines).
When you get to 93 (a T in the road and traffic light), make a right and
you'll be heading north. You'll top over a hill and voila! There's Boulder!
If you want to stop there's a pull out on the left a few hundred yards
down the hill, but be carefull of on coming traffic and traffic behind
you., The next traffic light you get to is Marshall Road/Eldorado Sptings
Drive/gas station. If you make a left (west), you'll be on the way to
the wedding. If you go straight, you'll be heading into Boulder on 93
which turns into Broadway at the city limits.
